The Congress is a formal meeting of representatives of different countries, the constituent countries, independent organizations (e.g. labour), or group. The term chosen for the Congress of the United States to emphasize the status of any country that represents exists as self-governing units. Next to the use by the U.S. Congress, the legislature, the term has been adopted by many countries in the trade unions, and state-unitary State in America, referring to their legislature.
Many political parties also have Party Congress every few years to make decisions for the party and elected bodies. This is sometimes called political Conventions.
The organization in some sports such as bowling, athletics, historically has been given a “Congress”. The predecessor to the United States Bowling Congress, was formed in 1995, is a male-only United States Bowling Congress was founded in 1895, and the only woman woman Bowling Congress International was founded in 1927, which were merged in 1995 to form the USBC.
