Report: suspect in Mattaf shooting linked to murder

KOMO 4 News reported the suspect wanted to shoot in the morning Mattaf is now the interest in the shooting death of Mount Rainier National Park Ranger Margaret Anderson.

According to King County Sheriff’s Office four people shot at a house party at 117th place block before the elevation of the S at 3 am on new year’s day.

The alleged shooter’s mattaf KOMO identify is 24 years old Benjamin Colton Barnes was asked to leave the party after a dispute. The suspect returned later and opened fire that injured four.

KOMO also reported Barnes is an interesting person in the shooting death of Ranger Margaret Anderson. The shooting occurred before 10: 30 am Sunday when another Park Service employees had failed to try to attract people during routine traffic stops. Anderson set up road blocks with his vehicle in the middle of the road, said spokesman Park Lee Taylor. People are attracted to Anderson about 11 am, jumping, was fired and ran, it said. 

Pierce County Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said when the Government arrives they also shot at, but no one else hit. About 150 officers, including officials from the Washington State Patrol, U.S. Forest Service and the FBI, are on the mountain.
