Inaction in Congress do more than anger constituents across the nation. The Act’s lack of action has led to the dismissal of employees who are dedicated to being able to overcome partisanship on Capitol Hill.
Like the Government Printing Office, or GPOS for short. Their top leader, Bill Boarman, resigned recently just before new year, but not because he personally chose to continue. He was not confirmed by the Senate in enough time to save his job and continue in his role as public Printer.
Boarman was originally nominated for the role in April 2010 and President Obama pledge break earlier in the year 2011. However, he lost his place because he was not confirmed by the U.s. Senate at the end of 2011. The Senate went on holiday break shortly before Christmas.
As an alternative to moving, Davita Vance-Boarman was appointed to the role of Deputy Chef public Printer onth20 December. This ensures that the Agency has some sort of capable leadership in place on Boarman’s departure.
Despite disappointment with the confirmation process, quick to offer Boarman’s praise for his successor.
